Training focuses on foot work, cutting, acceleration to deceleration, and quick reaction time; the characteristics that define superior athletes. 2SP trains these aspects using football specific techniques, explosive movements, core strength training, and appropriate resistance.
Speed Training: Sprint Technique, Agility, & Flexibility: Combination of the phases of sprint technique, resisted sprints, Combine agility drills, and the aggressive flexibility required to produce explosive speed.
Strength Training: Fundamentals & Progression to Advanced Strength Training: Squats, Bench press, Push-Ups, Pull-Ups, and Basic Strength Training, focus on posture, training muscles correctly, hypertrophy, and overload.
Power Training: 360 Degree Explosiveness & Power Lifting: Clean, Snatch, Jerk, Kettle-bell ripping drills, Plyometrics, Power lifting with multi-directional movements, Strong man tires, and Sledge hammers to increase fast-twitch muscle fiber reaction.
Functional Training: Football Core & Position Specific Training: Overhead Squats, Thrusters for core control and power production for Lineman, First-step explosiveness for Wide-receivers, Running-backs, Tight-Ends, and Quarter Backs and other skilled position players.
