2SPF Softball

2SP develops the tools necessary to create complete baseball players.  From increasing bat speed to decreasing sprint times in the 60 yard dash, 2SP teaches the correct techniques that make great players.

November 1st 2010 through May 2011

  • 1 tunnel $25 per hour
  • 2 tunnels $50 per hour
  • 3 tunnels $75 per hour
  • 4 tunnels $100 per hour (180x 40ft space)

Bat Speed

Building the shoulder musculature, rotator cuff muscles, core, and leg strength will increase bat speed.  2SP targets these muscle groups using dumbbells, bands, and free weights.  Olympic lifts including Cleans, Jerks, Snatch, and Hang Cleans help create the rhythm, timing, and correct sequencing of muscle contractions.   Teaching athletes to efficiently transfer momentum is the key to increasing bat speed.

Highly coordinated body movements = higher velocity swings

Athleticism & Explosiveness

Increasing fitness level and building fast-twitch muscle contractions will increase explosiveness and athleticism.  2SP athletes endure higher performance demands at increased intensity levels.

Intervals of cardio and strength, limited rest => higher performance athletes

Sprint Technique & Speed

Proper baseball start technique, arm mechanics, foot strike, stride frequency, leg mechanics, body angle, posture,   rhythm, and learning phases of the sprint will increase an athlete’s speed. 2SP teaches sprint technique and builds strength for speed using single leg plyo-metrics for increased muscle elasticity and strength training designed to target the muscles that create speed.

Arm Mechanics & Velocity

2SP uses a specifically designed arm strengthening procedure that builds shoulder, biceps, and triceps strength.  Overloading the muscles carefully using appropriate weights, promoting perfect posture positions that decrease stress on tendons and ligaments, and constantly maintaining pre-habilitating arm exercises will build arm velocity and ensure shoulder health.
